The Focus on Early Literacy

- Literacy is made up of
- word recognition
- listening
- pronunciation
- comprehension
- writing
- dictation
- composition
- Each of these abilities develops at a different stage of a child's life and we teach each element according to a child's neurological development and physical abilities
- Word recognition and understanding in French, Spanish, Putonghua and English starts at four months at KinderU with great success
- Parents must of course be mindful that fun and joy must be part of the process. RMKG continues this teaching method with amazing results
- RMKG curriculum is developed by Betty Ho and her team of early childhood education specialists

English

- Delivered by native English teachers
- We use Flashcards to enhance reading and encyclopedic knowledge
- We teach Phonics using the Letterland Phonics System
- We Aim to promote word recognition, reading and encourages conversation in English

Putonghua

- RMKG uses its exclusive Putonghua System in teaching early word recognition
- System started in July 2005 and our students easily learned to recognize and read 1,500 Chinese characters in Putonghua within a short duration of six months, which ordinarily takes six years under Hong Kong's traditional primary education system
- The whole curriculum contains 4,000 words organized into 50 subjects and covers 99.81% of all words used in natural and social science

Math

- RMKG developed a curriculum where your child can start developing ADVANCED math concepts as soon as they reach three years old IN A FUN WAY
- Upon completion of the Rightmind Active Math Program (MPM), your child will have mastered:

- recitation of numbers
- counting objects
- writing and drawing numbers
- use of ordinal numbers
- the concepts of greater than and less than
- use composition and decomposition
- addition
- subtraction
- measurements
- set theory
- functions (as a relationship between two quantities)
- logic (reaching a conclusion using proven rules)
- properties of shapes and colours
- spatial description
- spatial correspondence
- paths
- networks
- coordinates (two numbers in an ordered pair)
- binary system and cyclic series

JELIC

- JELIC is described as a brain power engine and consists of the following five programmes:
  Judgment Quotient (JQ)
Emotion Quotient (EQ)
Logic Quotient (LQ)
Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
Creativity Quotient (CQ)
- The program is divided into 350 sets of materials containing approx. 4,500 questions and it takes around 3 years for a child to complete the Program starting from three years old.
